Health Action Alliance Debuts New COVID-19 Vaccination Resources for Small Businesses

New Bilingual Materials Empower Small Business Owners to Share Vaccine Information with their Employees and Workers, Strengthen Vaccine Distribution and Acceptance, and Improve Prevention

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Health Action Alliance (HAA) released a robust suite of bilingual resources for small businesses to inform their employees about getting vaccinated against COVID-19. The resources were announced today during HAA’s National Business Summit on COVID-19 Vaccines featuring Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky, MD, MPH, and other leaders from the business and public health community.

HAA is a unique partnership between the Ad Council, Business Roundtable, CDC Foundation, de Beaumont Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, along with other leading organizations, to strengthen and accelerate the business community’s response to COVID-19 and help rebuild public health. The HAA Resources for Small Businesses are available in both English and Spanish at https://hlthact.org/smallbusiness.

“Small businesses have an essential role to play in helping end the pandemic by leveraging their trusted relationships with employees and the communities they serve,” said CDC Foundation President and CEO Judy Monroe, MD. “These resources will provide small businesses with the roadmap to do just that so we can emerge from this crisis stronger and healthier together.”

HAA’s Small Business Guide to COVID-19 Vaccines includes concrete steps small business owners can take to champion vaccines through vaccination plans and community engagement. Specifically, the guide will help small business owners:

In addition, HAA has prepared a Conversation Guide for Small Business Owners to help them engage in productive conversations about vaccines with their employees and workers, along with sample communications tools to support their outreach, including staff emails, social media tools, audience insights and other materials.
HAA is focused on helping the business community improve the health of employees, customers, and communities by promoting COVID-19 prevention and encouraging vaccination, advancing health equity by addressing the needs of disproportionately affected communities, and restoring trust in science and strengthening public health so we can be better prepared in the future.
